Well, not been active on here for ages because of work etc.
I started making a game a few weeks ago, using cocos2d and box2d as my physics engine.
I’d say the core game mechanics are a third done, with the unique jumping system implemented, platforms, tilemaps, physics bodies, ‘death boxes to hit’, parallax scrolling, and a bit more.
